We want nothing, but happy and healthy pups at K9 Cuts. If your groomer feels your pet is distressed, we will take the precautionary measures to help calm them. If we feel it is unsafe for the pet or groomer to continue, we will stop the process and return your pet to you with pictures and video explanation as to why we can not safely continue our services. Client must inform us, prior to grooming, if your pet has bitten someone or has aggressive tendencies. For your pets safety and the groomers safety, overly aggressive pets or overly stressed pets will not be groomed by K9 Cuts and will be returned to the client and referred to a local Veterinarian. Current rabies is required for all pets groomed by K9 Cuts.
Excessive de-matting is painful, time consuming and a costly procedure that causes extreme discomfort that can aggravate or cause skin conditions. Client is aware that coat neglect can cause issues such as brush and clipper irritation. Matted pets run the highest risk of accidents such as cuts, nicks from clippers and scissors. It is at K9 Cuts discretion to determine if it is the pets best interest to de-mat or "shave down" and start over. Shaving your pet may dramatically change your pets appearance and the hair will be very short. This may also expose pre-existing conditions. K9 Cuts will not be responsible for condition of pets coat or after effects of grooming, which may include but are not limited to: itchiness, skin redness, sunburn, self-inflicted abrasions, or irritation or failure to regrow hair.
Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful, especially with senior pets or pets with pre-existing health conditions. Because senior pets and pets with health conditions are more prone to injury and illness, K9 Cuts will groom for cleanliness and comfort. We may not be able to give you the styling you request, if it is not in the best interest of the pet. Please understand that as the pet gets older, styling becomes less important and comfort becomes K9 Cuts' number one priority. Our goal is to see your pet the least amount of times possible to ensure that your pet is not suffering from undue stress due to frequent grooming. We understand that you want your pet away from home for the shortest amount of time possible. However, this is not always in the pets best interest to rush things and cause undue anxiety, pain or stress. K9 Cuts will do what is in the pets best interest and will explain what we can and can not do prior to grooming. Trust is the most important factor when grooming elderly and disabled pets. If you are unwilling to accept our professional opinion and advice, we would rather not attempt the grooming.
Small businesses are greatly effected by last minute cancellations and no show appointments. K9 Cuts schedules appointments to give your pet the attention they need and deserve in a soothing and calm environment. We accept a limited number of appointments each day to ensure quality of our service. Our automated system will send a text or email 48 hours in advance. We ask that you give us 24 hours notice to avoid a $25 cancellation fee applied to your next grooming appointment.
A price range can be given to you prior to service, however, we can not guarantee anything until we have had our hands on your pet. Coat length, breed size, cooperation of pet, quality of coat (matting), and temperament are all factors used when determining final price.
Appointment times are estimated arrival times. Please understand that we are working with live animals our schedule is subject to interruptions and delays. If we feel we will be early or late, K9 Cuts will give you a courtesy call to let you know, along with an explanation as to the changes. We do stagger appointment times to try to keep pets for the least amount of time as possible but this does not always work and is subject to change and we ask for understanding and trust in these situations.
